Description

A 52-year-old veterinarian - living, working and thriving, alongside mental wellness challenges.

Ray Lenaghan has lived with various degrees of depression/anxiety challenges since the age of 17. Ray “struggled through” for many of those years without really knowing how to deal with these feelings. Ray's discussion will describe parts of that journey for himself and how through family love and support, counselling and medical care, he has come to live and thrive in life. Ray has learned how to live alongside the difficulties and trials that anxiety/ depression and mental wellness presents, rather than be ruled by them. Hopefully some of this will resonate with other members and will also show that we don’t need to be embarrassed about struggling anymore. We can succeed and live a happy fulfilling life, whilst having mental wellness difficulties.

This presentation will be available in person and online (link to be sent out closer to the day).
